Update

Joe Blazo, from the Bayview Fire Department left a message and said that one of his Lieutenants is going to contact me and that Monday, July 21st shouldn't be a problem for them.

I left another message for Sgt. Frank Weir in reference to Wednesdays event (fingerprinting and/or K-9s).

I'll give both of these gentlemen until 3pm to get back to me and then I'll start calling again.

Have a great day!

Way to go Stacey. You are now a licensed or lisenced blogger whichever one is spelled right. (I still can't find the spellchecker)

Nope, I can't find the spellchecker
either. Is that option available within the blogging world?

Fire Department (Monday, 7/21)
I just called Chief Joe Blazo, again, and left a message. I'm doing my absolute best to touch base with these people, but it isn't easy. When do I cross the line and become a pain in the neck (haha)?
Police Department (Wednesday, 7/23)
I spoke to someone yesterday and he said that he will have another gentleman call me within the next day or two. I will also call them back this afternoon.
On a more positive note....
both, the Police and Fire Department contacts that I have made sounded promising. Both saying our request would not be a problem. It's just the individuals that are supposed to contact me to finalize the plans are not moving at my desired pace.

The spell checker option is not available in the comments, only the original posts. In the original posts there's an icon with a check mark and "ABC" below it. for the comments, you might copy and paste from a word processer. That being said, despite the teacher in me, I will refrain from correcting spelling or grammar.

Stacey you have the brunt of the work here and it is much appreciated. I'm sorry the pace of responses is not as desired but I'm sure a combination of patience and faith will see you through process succesfully.

I just spoke to Sgt. Frank Weir. The Police Department is willing to make an appearance on Wednesday, July 23rd @ 10am. He said the fingerprinting of 125 children will take a very long time and it's actually a kit that the parents can do themselves (if they have enough kits he will bring them to send home with the kids). Sgt. Weir is going to talk to his staff, come up with a few interesting things (K-9 was mentioned)to do for and with the children and again.....get back to me.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

The Police were wonderful ... we had a squad car, motorcycle, bicycle, eight officers and three dogs.

Today went great! The Lord was just smiling down on the entire day. The kids had a blast and the weather was beautiful.
This has been a rewarding experience and I look forward to next year. I would most certainly sign up for the same team. What a COOL EVENTS TEAM is was!
